This year the club raised and handed over a cheque for £600 to Dogs for the Disabled. The contribution included money raised at the Rally Day raffle and barbeque, the presentation evening raffle and the £75 raised by auction for 7 days kennelling donated by Brookwood kennels in Fillongley. We are extremely grateful for all of your generous donations and are sure the money will be put to good use by the charity.
Trophies and certificates were awarded for competitions that took place on rally day and for achievements throughout the year.Congratulations to all those who picked up awards on the night.

On Sunday 5th April Knowle Dog training club celebrated it's 30th anniversary. To mark the occasion classes finished at 1.00p.m. and everyone was invited to gather in the club house for a buffet. The event was very well attended and it was good to catch up with some former members.
As you can see the weather was fine which was just as well as it was standing room only in the club house, so good was the turn out. You will notice the banner draped across the building announcing to all the celebration of thirty years of KDTC.
A splendid buffet was provided for all to indulge in. many thanks to those who helped with its preparation. The centre piece of the buffet was a large iced fruit cake decorated with the Knowle Dog training Club yellow and green livery.
As chairman of the club it fell to Chris to say a few words to mark the occasion. He remarked how good it was to see so many old club members which was taken the wrong way by about half of the people in the room. Chris commented on how special it was that the club was celebrating it's 30 year anniversary and mentioned that over the years the club had been run by a relatively small number of people.
John Richmond, chairman of Knowle Cricket Club presented a gift to Knowle Dog Training Club on behalf of the cricket club in recognition of the anniversary. John expressed his gratitude for the way the two clubs co-exhisted so well. Chris accepted the gift on behalf of the club and passed it to Ann to be opened. A task she approached with great eagerness.
Ann is pictured here holding the contents of the beautifully wrapped package aloft for all to see. The gift was a cut glass bowl which was referred to by John as the most expensive dog bowl you are ever likely to see.
The final act to be completed before the buffet was served to the awaiting hoards was the ceremonial cutting of the cake. This duty was ably undertaken by Ann against a backdrop of simultaneous camera flashes. I think it is fair to say that the occasion was a great success and a tribute to all those who have contributed their time and efforts into making the club what it is.
